Cogeneration

Cogeneration, or combined heat and power generation, is a technological process in which a single fuel is used to simultaneously produce electricity and usable heat. It is one of the most efficient methods of energy management.

When electricity is generated in a power plant, a huge amount of heat is produced as a by-product. In coal-fired power plants, this heat is released into the atmosphere through cooling towers without being used. The efficiency of such a process is usually only 30-45%. A cogeneration unit does not release heat, but instead captures it via a heat exchanger for further use.

Why consider purchasing cogeneration?

  • By utilizing "waste" heat, cogeneration units achieve efficiencies of up to 90%.

  • Generating your own electricity is significantly cheaper than purchasing it from the grid. You will save not only on the electricity itself, but also on distribution fees and other regulated price components, which make up a large part of your bill.

  • Cogeneration is one of the best ways to reduce your carbon footprint. We obtain energy twice from one fuel (electricity and heat). This means we consume significantly less fuel than in separate production.

Our solutions
